Scholarship Description: Research Graduate Programs two-year Postdoc position available with 1 September 2011 on an experimental surface science group at iNANO and Department of Physics and Astronomy. The group is developing and applying the scanning probe and other surface science methods to study the model and the surface of oxide catalysts are attractive for the design of future catalysts. This project involves research activities in the field of surface science system is addressing an attractive model for the application of catalytic and photo-catalytic. http://www.callforpapersinfo.com
http://thescholarshipprogramme.com The Research Graduate Programs main tool is a high-resolution scanning tunneling microscope (STM) in combination with other techniques to more traditional surface science such as temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and X-ray fotoelektron spectroscopy (XPS). An ongoing project focuses on photo-reaction of ethanol on single crystal TiO2. It is planned to implement a new fast-growing STM-scanning which allows one to study the process of rapid diffusion on the surface at the level of the video.
